I usually wear an 11W or 11.5W in general. I can fit into a TOMS Alpargata 11, but it’s tight squeeze. The 12 fits a little larger, but in a good way! They even slide in the back a little when I walk, but not enough to cause blisters. Love these!

I have several pairs of Toms Alpargatas, so when I saw the egret color available and on sale, I purchased them immediately. However, this particular pair of shoes was very stiff at the back ankle area. I wore them around the house for a few hours to attempt to break them in, which is something I’ve never had to do with any Toms shoes before, but since there wasn’t really a lot of walking involved in my house, it didn’t do much. I foolishly thought that they had softened up enough to wear to an event, but I was wrong. My ankles were raw and bleeding in about 5 minutes of straight walking. I had to push down the back of the shoe to convert them to a slip-on style to be able to continue wearing them that evening. I’m scared to attempt wearing them again due to how stiff and hard the back ankle area is, but perhaps in a few weeks after my ankles heal, I’ll try again. Note … I did have socks on when I wore them, but it provided little to no cushion against the stiff material.

These Toms run narrower and have stiffer fabric than other Toms I have purchased.

Cushiony innersoles are really comfortable without being super thick. Lightweight as well. The Ikat pattern with red/orange accent is nice contrast. The 8.5 is true to size, and the width was perfect for my slightly narrow foot. Looking forward to my next purchase.

I probably have 30 pairs of alpargatas, so obviously I love them. Even with mild plantar fasciitis, these shoes are so comfortable! But this color I’ve waited a decade for a pair of TOMS that were Kelly green. I should order a back up pair for when I wear these out.

Loved them out of the box. I have flat feet so I can’t wear anything for extended time except cross trainers/walking shoes. But for going out and wanting something above a tennis shoe, these are great and work well for skirt or jeans.
